Digital Breaks Foundation & Retroid - No Remorse by Ego Shot Recordings
ORIGINAL MIX
After the success of their first collaboration "Nightfall", DBF and Retroid return with a storming psy-soaked breaks track. The track begins with a thumping beat over the top of a constantly growing bass that evolves and mutates towards a techy and mechanical breakdown. The ghosts of the machine come out to haunt us with striking synths flitting in and out before unleashing in full force with the pumping beats and bass pushing the track to it's very limit. Drop this in the middle of your breaks sets to lure even the most hardcore breakers into a false sense of security!
BIG MISTAKE REMIX
Big Mistake takes the techy elements of the original and gives them a reboot that begins with the signature psybreaks sound - we've got bleeps and blips, mechanical vox and synth stabs being pushed along with a fantastic raspy, dirty bassline. The break features pumping half-stepped beats, gorgeous arpeggios and an anthemic lead which, when coupled with the variation of the bass from the beginning, propel the track into hands-in-the-air dancefloor territory. Clocking in at over 10 mins and always keeping your interest, you'll be hard pushed to find a better bargain!
MDK REMIX
Hungarian producer MDK is becoming well-known for his uplifting interpretations of breaks tracks and this is a perfect example of his work. Scattered blips and peak time synth work start us off before continuing over the top of a deep, full bass groove that will have your bones shaking and smiling throughout your body. As the groove continues, tech fx and soundscapes are introduced, faded out and evolved into lead counter-melodies. A great track to drop when your set needs a bit of a breather without losing any of the energy!

Music Review: Abdomen Burst - Narada
Release Date: 21 June, 2011
DSUK024 - Abdomen Burst - Narada [June 2011] by Digital Sensation UK
DSUK024 - Abdomen Burst - Narada [June 2011] by Digital Sensation UK
ORIGINAL MIX
A true classic progressive breaks track from one of
the scenes favourites, this track begins to build immediately with
haunting synths, twisted soundscapes and deep, evolving bass. With the
introduction of ethnic vocals and tech FX scattered around the place and
building towards the breakdown, the track soon soars to gorgeous
heights with uplifting pads and atmospheric melodies in the AB style – a
perfect intro track to any breaks set.
GEON REMIX
Spanish producer Geon is a constant fixture in
breaks charts around the world with his unique blend of hard-hitting
beats and twisted basslines that are as moving as they are banging and
this remix is another great example of his signature style. Adding some
more aggressive elements to the original and introducing a bit of acid
and some sexy chord changes, this tougher take is perfect for that
harder edge.
INNUENDO REMIX
The final remix comes from Duane’s downtempo
project, which takes the main melody hook and vocals from the original
and layers them in-between lush pads, deep soundscapes and downtempo
beats. Like the others, an evolving bassline is the main focus with many
spacey synths and FX sprinkled around the track to give it his
signature slab of atmospheric electronica. Perfect for headphones!
INNUENDO AMBIENT REMIX
Also available is an extended remix as above with
the beats and bass removed and the pads/melodies more predominant
- this will be a free download.
